One Direction rocked some stylish red kimonos as they arrived in Japan on Wednesday (Picture: EPA)One Direction got into the Japanese spirit as they donned matching red kimonos after touching down in Tokyo on Wednesday.The boyband were quickly mobbed by hordes of screaming fans as they made their way through Narita Airport looking overwhelmed by their welcome.

Despite the 11-hour flight from Heathrow the Kiss You singers were clearly blown-away by their greeting from their Japanese fans and took some time out to chat and sign autographs. Grinning their way through the crowds, the boys posed for photos and high-fived their devoted followers who had made a vast number of banners to welcome the boys to their country.

Taking to Twitter once they had reached their hotel, 18-year-old Harry Styles wrote: ‘Soooo Hi Japan!’

Still buzzing from his experience at the airport Niall Horan, 19, posted: ‘Japan! This place is so cool! Can’t wait for the next few days ! Gona be fun!’

Adding: ‘Airport was crazy! Big love to Japanese fans.’. Harry certainly seems to be just as popular in Japan as he is back home as some of the fans had made him personalised banners and posters for the occasion.
